Lieutenant-Governor to unveil Simcoe

Ontario’s Lieutenant-Governor, David Onley, will do the honours of unveiling a bronze bust of John Graves Simcoe next Tues., May 12 at the Simcoe County Museum in Midhurst.

A reception is being held at 2 p.m., with the official unveiling at 2:45 p.m.

The 24-inch statue was commissioned last year by council to pay tribute to the area’s namesake, and it will be on display at the Simcoe County Museum for the public.
